St. Vincent's HealthCare is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system that has served the people of Jacksonville and the surrounding communities for more than 91 years.

St. Vincent's Medical Center
SVMC has received the Gold Seal of Approval by the Joint Commission, and is accredited for all services surveyed. SVMC also was recognized by U.S.News & World Report in 2006, 2005 and 2003 as one of the top 50 heart hospitals in the nation. Learn more about SVMC here

St. Luke's Hospital
In April 2008, SVHC will welcome another hospital. St. Luke's Hospital, the oldest existing hospital in Jacksonville, will be added to the SVHC. Learn more about this transition here

Outreach Ministries
While dedicated to serving all, SVHC places special emphasis on helping the poor and less fortunate. The award-winning outreach ministries go far beyond SVMC in caring for the community through programs such as the Mobile Health Outreach Ministry, Parish Nurse Ministry, School Nurse Program, and Seton Center for Women and Infants Health.

Our Roots
Our mission is based in strong traditions of faith. Founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1916, SVHC is now part of Ascension Health, which was formed in 1999 when the Daughters merged their healthcare ministry with the Sisters of St. Joseph Health System. SVHC's Mission and Values form the framework of our commitment to patient care.
